This is the Streamerp2p client, for listening, and broadcasting in
conjunction with a stream encoding dsp such as oddcast, available from here: http://www.oddsock.org/
Please do NOT provide a local copy of Streamer for download on your own
site. We want everyone to always have the latest version so if you want to
provide a link, please click the Save URL button in the Bcast configuration
screen and use the link from the resulting URL.TXT file in your broadcasting
Streamer folder. Thanks!!

This is a beta of the next version.
It has much better NAT & firewall support, a new streaming system, a new look, and station banners and list icons.
It is not compatible with the current version, and will stop working when it is superceded, or when there are no seeds online.

Enhanced Broadcast Client streamerw.exe
This is a streamer client with ogg broadcasting direct from line-in built in.
This makes it 1M bigger, so the normal client does not include it.
ActiveX Example Streamerx.zip
This contains instructions for embedding the Streamerp2p ActiveX control on a web page.
It allows users of Internet Explorer to listen without installing the Streamerp2p client itself. (But anybody with any sense has got ActiveX turned off or is using Firefox)
There will be a Java version of Streamerp2p sometime.
This will make embedding much better and should run on all platforms,
including mobile devices with a bit of tweaking.
Independent Networks Pack Streamerp2p_independent_network_pack.rar
This contains the instructions and files needed for setting up your own
independent Streamerp2p network. This requires running of your own 'tracker',
and may be either fully open for listeners, require a username/password login.
Indpendent networks do not connect to the open Streamerp2p network
or to the stations list here at all.
This pack is an intermediary 'stop-gap' setup,
a future version of streamer will handle independent networks a bit better.
It was intended for commercial use by subscription stream operators.
If you are a commercial operator interested in an enhanced* private network
(linking to an sql database for example), contact us.
