Yea, they could offer to re-sell Streamer, even though that would be a bad idea, since they can get it directly from us... (Well Iain)

Maybe they can offer some tools to help you broadcast or something. "Value added"

They went through a radical management shake up last year and cut a bunch of jobs. They had to start charging for " prefered " broadcasting and listeners. You can still listen to some live 365 stuff for free though.

At one point, they were going to start a service in ip multicast, to save
bandwidth costs, but the design fell through.

Bandwidth is indeed a large portion of their annual budget, but royalties
is a much larger portion.

I'm not suggesting you'll get anywhere by arguing with Live365, BUT

I just read the entire Live365 TOS (whee!), and it's not a violation. Not only is it not a violation of the TOS, but the TOS specifically states that the TOS is the SOLE body of regulation governing the relationship between to user and Live365.

That means that the notation in the community rules that states "Please do not advertise or promote products or services in your posts" is actually unenforceable.

Not that I'd do it, but what would be the downside of logging on to Live365 and pumping Streamer until I got kicked off?

Not me guv, your warning needs to be addressed to whoever 'whom it may concern' is. I haven't signed your TOS.

Not 'my' posts mate. And if you know the account, why are you telling us in here instead of telling 'to whom it may concern' directly ?.
