If you're just trying to install Streamer to listen for now (not worrying about broadcast settings) try this.

Frist, go to your c:\program files directory, and delete the streamer folder.

(this will remove all the streamer stuff. (important since you've played with several versions :D )

now go to the streamerp2p.net download page and use the Streamer installer package. it's located at:
http://www.streamerp2p.net/download.html

you can download the package to your drive Or open it and install it directly from the download site.

The Streamer installer package will install all the files, leave a Streamer shortcut on your desktop and in your menu. It will also make an un-install program for easy removal (hopefully you'll never need that :D )

If your firewall is off everything should work fine for listening at this point.
If your firewall is on, simply create an entry for port 8466 and point it to the client PC (local host, 192.168.0.X, etc) and that should work too.

I strongly suggest you get the firewall back online for your own system protetion, especially if you'll be online for hours listening to Streamer :D

Hope this helps!, Good luck.

sometimes i've the same probs;

then i delete all files and keep only the streamer.exe in the folder

after this u have to config it again but it works perfect.

Also after deleteing all hosts sometimes streamer cant
find any host anymore, also the hardcoded hosts seem to
be dead and no stations show up, but doing the above helps :D

If the hard coded hosts seems to be dead and there are no stations:
you have to add one working host. Join #streamerp2p channel and ask someone for his IP and Port he runs streamer. Add this IP as a host in streamer. After this streamer should find all other hosts and stations.

IP:Port
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8466 (default)
