Allthough I tried AAC Plus for a while, I still went back to OGG Vorbis. Amazing, specially the codec that comes with Oddcast. It can encode very good at lower rates.
No complex and expensive legal stuff like with other codecs, and it plays from inside StreamerP2P. But I miss the video side of OGG called Theora, also free to use and implemend. Actually meaning, StreamerP2P is allowed to implement OGM!
Now that would be cool. Using VLC for encoding OGM streams with Vorbis audio and Theora Video. And StreamerP2P broadcasting it and being able to play it!
Now that would be a breakthrough I would like. I'll stop with AAC Plus questions, moaning about a player that can be used inside webpages and all. But I would really love OGM to be implemented in StreamerP2P, broadcasting and playing.
Any chance of that happening?
