Hi everyone, I thought I'd post some information about the new version (Final-1) of Fluid that I released today. It is a simple streaming server and framwork that can be used to serve media on demand or broadcast in relay, live or playlist mode. Since it is written in Java it runs on practically any platform. It currently supports mp3 and mp3pro formats.

I am looking for developers that could help out adding support for other formats and neat features like support for the p2p protocol used in streamerp2p.

Check out the Fluid Homepage for more information.

Cheers!

What kinda business practice is this? I sent this guy an email that read as follows.

-----email------
What exactly does your post have to do with Streamer? Would you mind if I come over to your forum and post an advertisement for Streamer? That’s kinda like saying to Coke, uh hey would you mind if we (Pepsi) put a little info on your next run of cans about our product?
-----end email------

It was not my intention to break your business model. Fluid is an Open Source project, so anyone can modify the sources as they see fit, which is why I posted here. In all friendliness, my intention was to ask for help developing it further, and specifically for adding interconnectivity with streamerp2p. I can't see the wrong in asking for help. The only wrong in my opinion would be if developers are faithless enough to not be able to help out in more than one project at a time.

Regards,

Sorry my bad. Your first message just wasn't clear. The developer here is rather busy and like most of us has a day job however, if you would like to submit your connection protocols to him please feel free to do so.
