I have been experimenting with SP2P for about a day now and I like what I see so far.

What I am hoping to do. I would like a xml feed or something to show last few songs play along with stats etc. I looked at some of the tools listed here at SP2P. Maybe I am overlooking it, but I don't see exactly what would do it. The Requester seems like a good script, butI want to tackle one feature at a time.

One problem I have is that I am on Cable and no matter what I do I cannot poke a hole in Ad**phia's firewall to use the Shoutcast or Peercast local xml or Song History. Peercast YP has xml, but no reader will display it. Really!!! Is there a Streamer YP xml that shows more than just the current song? or has someone developed a script to pull this info.

I put together a combo of ftp and php to update a hosted site every three minutes, but I spiked bandwidth at the host in 3 days. There's got to be a better way.

There exists php scripts for stats that works with the SongRequester from Oddsock. SHould be able to google that. Also, there is another really good set of scripts that use a mysql database for your tunes to do the requesting and a different plug for Winamp. Look HERE for that stuff. Hope this helps ya.

I had looked at at this site and tried to download that very same script several times over the last few days, but everytime I clicked the download it returned a text page with a short sentence in upper left corner saying file unavailable - PeerCast_Status_Script_v1.1.zip
but...
This morning it worked fine, downloaded file changed the variables, tried it locally and it worked fine, but I would like to add a Song History if possible.

The problem I have though is when I upload it to a Public Server it doesn't work. Streamer and PeerCast helps me get the stream out, but scripts etc. can't get through Ad**phia's firewall. If there were a script that would pull from StreamerP2P's or PeerCast's xml. I see some of signatures on the forums that inlude the stats. How are they getting it to post stats throught the Cable or DSL firewall? Cable here is $45 each month for consumer access which is firewalled at the ISP level, if I upgraded to a biz service with static IP it would be well over $100.

Not sure what to tell ya Bill. I suppose you could setup a cron job to periodically read the song info line from your listing on the Streamerp2p.com site. It shouldn't be that difficult to extract the info you need. You could use http://www.streamerp2p.com/link.php?t=kmeat to keep the bandwidth used down as well. Just substitute the value after t= to something that would get just your listing.

Before I wrote this reply I did a search and found a couple of good post for getting a webpage together for the station, image to show on/off air, but is there anywhere that will list the variables that are usable for pulling the song and artist from.

The page http://www.streamerp2p.com/link.php?t=Southern%20Gospel%20Radio is great to show the station and current song if it didn't display where I had to uninstall and reinstall Streamer.

Why after running the install for Streamer isn't "streamerp2p://" recognized in XP. Clicking those links bring up an error saying that is not a valid Win32 application?
