Can someone confirm if this is real or is this fake? I thought it was real ... but I don't see any new version on the website ... guess this is fake ... or the developers over promised that it would be avaiable 3/4. Today is 3/5 and I don't see a new version. Sad!

it is no fake but the new version isn't ready at the moment. It was planned to release it this saturday.

I wonder, that there isn´t more disconcertment in this forum about the unprofessionality and the lapidary way of empty promises.

We want to give good entertainmet to our listeners and let them feel wooed. So we announced the new version to them and gave the information, that it will be necessary to update yesterday.

All we did now, is to give the untrustworthiness of the streamer-team forward to or listeners.

I hope, that they trust us to be innocent and keep listen to or station.

Hey Did you read the discussions about why it wasn't ready last saturday?
Yes it was overhasty to post a release date. Don't hyperventilate over this. Do you want a beta version or a good product? Sorry for any inconvenience. I'm not responsible for that but i don't like if people badmouthing the whole streamer team.

I agree that it is a little embarasssing to have told all of your listeners (both of them, in my case! lol!) that a new version is coming, but it's worth remembering that:

1)(As far as I understand), the whole of the Streamer team are VOLUNTEERS- all of them have regular jobs/commitments etc and we are lucky to receive the level of commitment and professionalism that we get from them.

2)Especially in light of the above, we should be glad that Iain and the team care enough about their users not to release an imperfect product.

I have a different Take on the way this whole thing went down.
But the PLAY NICE in me, wont post it here.
I to am a Volunteer, and a supporter of streamer.
and NO I really dont have anything better to do,
I work my own days and hours, when I can.
and Yes do want a good finished product.

I think for now I will leave it as that,
and as far as being profesional I feel for the amount of hours people put in here, that ARE NOT being paid for they do a DAMM FINE JOB!

Look, I am working on this in my spare time, which is not much, considering I have a full time game coding job at the moment. And I have had a load of other c**p to deal with recently, so be patient please.
The last version was over a year ago, a few more days won't hurt, and remember it is free so I haven't failed to deliver something you have already paid for.

ignore them iain mate, its just a case of "want it now" no one has really been inconvenienced y the delay, despite what they may claim.. everyone wants it now, just like when you asked for beta testers.. lots of people jumped at the chance to get it, but only a few of us actually did anything with it... Take as much time as you need to release it.. I for one would rather it right and you in a good mood, than it wrong and everyone in a bad mood

It will be released very soon. We have a final product. There are screen shots to make, websites to modify and updates so we don't have a nightmare of support issues with the new items, and a Whats New to write for posting to the site.

I already have a full week of work that pays money and just this morning a lightning storm rolls through the area and blows up several pieces of equipment that I have to push things aside to fix or I face the possibility the I will loose that client and some of the ability to feed my family.

Sometimes people can be so greedy that it just makes me wanna throw up. Chill out ya'all. As Iain said, there's not been a release in over a year and we want it to be just right. I'm sure amongst the complainers, the time you guys set aside out of your life for this release is minimal compared to the vounteers actually involved in this project.

I'm still targeting this weekend sometime but I have learned a valuable lesson this time around. This is the first time in the history of Streamer that I believe we have tried to project a solid release date. My lesson is that that does NOT work. If it doesn't come this weekend, you can all rest assured that there is a valid reason for it and you should accept the fact that you may never find out what that reason is.

Instead of "Where is it dammit".. maybe it would help if you were to spew some happy words of encouragement or just keep your mouth shut.

Having said that, to all of those who are supporting us, THANK YOU!!! You all will be rewarded very soon.
